Mr. Food, seen on KLTV7 for years, passes away

Posted: Updated:

WESTON, FL (KLTV) - Art Ginsburg, the television chef known to many over the years as Mr. Food, has passed away at his home in Florida after a battle with pancreatic cancer.

Mr. Food's segment was syndicated to 125 television stations around the country. His catchphrase "Ooh! It's so good!" enticed generations of fans and home cooks to try their hand at cooking. Mr. Food often used processed food, unlike many of the more gourmet chefs who were on television during his years on-air.

Mr. Food made several visits to Tyler, as his 90-second segments were aired on KLTV for many years.

Art Ginsburg was 81 years old.
