There is an update on an exotic animal who now calls East Texas home.
Cleveland Amory Black Beauty Ranch rescued Saudi, the camel, back in September. The staff at this East Texas animal sanctuary slowly worked to introduce him to their other camel, Omar.
It's an introduction the director says went smoothly.
"It went wonderful; it was such a great day that we were able to put Saudi and Omar together. So, we moved him over, had him nose to nose at the fence and they were just nestling," said Black Beauty Ranch's Director, Ben Callison.
After monitoring their behavior, Callison said he did not see any concerns, so he put the camels in the same pasture.
"We just opened the gate, he walked in, they walked up to each other, they touched noses and they went separate ways. They started grazing next to each other. It was a beautiful site and they are wonderful friends. I mean they just hang out together the whole time, just always near each other."
