WHITE OAK, TEXAS (KLTV) - For White Oak volleyball it's simple math.
One, two, three...four.
As in, four in a row.
"I never thought I would be going to the state tournament every year I was in high school," said senior Dorothy Swanson. "It is a real blessing to get to go every year."
"It is a great feeling, not many people get to do this and we are lucky enough to get to," said fellow senior Shelby Stillwell
But it's more than luck, it's tradition.
And it's four seniors that lead they way to White oak's 4th straight state tournament.
"Later on when I think about it, not many schools get to go like we do," said senior Morgan Baldwin. "So it is going to be pretty special later on thinking about it."
"As you get older it gets more exciting," said Swanson. "Because you get to your last year so you want to do better each year."
Doing better this year means winning it all, just like they did two years ago.
2010 was their only volleyball title in school history.
"My sister was a senior in 2009 and they fell short," said Stillwell. "Now I am a senior in 2012 and we are hoping to get that state championship."
"That would probably be the best feeling the the world," said Swanson. "I don't know what I would do, I would probably freak out, but I am planning on it happening."
It's a perfect plan for the four seniors to end their career on.
"It would be a huge blessing, God has blessed us alot just to get here," said Stillwell. "But that state championship would definitely be icing on the cake."
It's the sweet taste of victory.
The Ladynecks play their state semi-final game at 1:00 on Thursday against Schulenburg.
The state tournament is held in Garland.
