People in Tyler will soon get to drink water that used to smell and taste bad.
Authorities say the Lake Palestine Water Treatment Plant could be back online as early as tomorrow morning. They originally scheduled to start the water flow from the plant tonight, but ran into a technical problem, which they're fixing now.
Earlier this year, the plant was taken offline to fix a problem test results showed was caused by dead algae. The Water Department conducted a taste test a couple weeks ago, and water seemed to be back to normal.
