Lindsay Faisst Back In Jail For Alleged Probation Violation

A Smith County woman on probation for the 2000 drunk driving death of her best friend is once again in jail.

21-year-old Lindsay Faisst turned herself in Tuesday afternoon, as prosecutors believe she broke her probation by violating curfew and drinking alcohol.

On New Year's Day 2000, Faisst ran her car off FM 346 near Whitehouse.

Her friend Ashley McCaa was killed. Last month, Faisst was a passenger in another fatal car crash... this one in Tyler. While it's not known if the driver of that car, 21 year old Rebecca Rivera had been drinking, district attorney Matt Bingham says he is confident Faisst had been.

She'll be in court for a bond hearing Wednesday. If convicted of the probation violation, Faisst faces ten years in prison.
