A 25-year-old Lufkin woman received two years of probation for stealing more than $1,500 in merchandise from the Burke's Outlet store located at 1805 Frank Ave. In addition to the probation, she is required to pay full restitution.

Danielle Lakay Williams appeared in front of Judge Gerald Goodwin Friday morning as part of the "rocket docket."

Lufkin Police officers arrested Williams, who is a former Burke's employee, in June 2010. Authorities obtained a warrant for her arrest in December 2009 following an investigation into internal theft reported by the management of the Burke's store.

An anonymous tip led officers to a residence at Stephens Court Apartments at 1212 East Denman Ave., where they arrested Williams.
