VERNON, CT (WFSB) -
A Vernon woman was arrested Wednesday after being accused of driving her daughter around drunk while trick-or-treating.
Vernon police said they received a 911 call from a young child that said something was wrong with her mother.
Based on the information that was received from the girl, police located a car stopped in the middle of Hany Lane near Donnell Drive, an area that at the time was crowded with trick-or-treaters.
After an investigation, police said the driver, identified as Amber Haaser, 43, of Ward Street, was driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.
She was arrested and charged with risk of injury to a minor, operating a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs or alcohol, failure to submit to chemical testing and improper parking.
She was held on $5,000 bond and was expected in court Thursday.
