Boy's ballot box costume asks: Romney or Obama?

PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

A 14-year-old northeast Portland boy combined his love for Halloween with his love for politics and got his neighbors involved in the fun.

Matthew Gilbert made a ballot box costume and asked those handing out candy to choose a slot for President Barack Obama or Republican challenger Mitt Romney.

"There's a 5 percent margin of error for candy eaten along the way," said Gilbert jokingly. "I did this four years ago as well and I thought it would be cool to do it again."

Last time, he was only 10 and the winner of his contest won the presidential race.

When all the counting was done this year, Obama had 90 votes, Romney had three votes and there were 21 votes in the undecided category.
