Noonday haunted house: Axe of Horror

NOONDAY, TX (KLTV) -

It's Halloween and East Texans are gearing up to celebrate the holiday in a true creepy fashion.

Noonday Fire Department is approaching the holiday by raising funds while scaring the community with non other than their annual haunted house, the Axe of Horror.

"It's an adrenaline rush to go through for everyone. They have a lot of fun doing it and if you're not easily scared we do have a lot of people who get scared in here," says Heather Broom, Noonday Fire Department.

For the last 20 years, Noonday Fire Department has been scaring the community the best way they know how- the Axe of Horror.

"This is a fundraiser that we do each year to help pay for our gear, helps fix truck, supplies all that kind of stuff so we can better serve our community," says Broom.

This year you can expect to see new things a foam room and a vortex.

"The vortex is really, really fun. We have a lot of people who go through and they are just leaning on their side and can't figure out what's spinning what's not. The floor itself is not moving, but they feel like they are going to fall over on their face," says Broom.

The haunted house is located at the Noonday Fire Department.

It will be open Wednesday from 7:30p.m. to 10:30p.m. And Friday from 7:30p.m. to 11p.m.

Tickets are $15 on Wednesday and $8 on Friday.
