HARRIS COUNTY, TX (CNN) - A family Halloween party in Harris County, Texas, turned tragic after police say a man ran a stop sign and smashed his Camaro into the backyard of a home.
The party was going on in the backyard of a residence when a vehicle came barreling through the wood fence.
The vehicle struck four people.
The driver of the Camaro blew through a stop sign on a road that forms a T. The driver was going fast enough to make it past a steep ditch and flew up into the backyard.
A 38-year-old woman was killed in the accident, and four others were injured, including a four-year-old. Their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
The driver fled the scene after the crash. However, police say they know who he is.
