Wild buck breaks through Wendy's restaurant window

GLASGOW, KY (ABC) - The manager at a Kentucky Wendy's restaurant saw what appeared to be a break-in at his store; he saw broken glass and other damage all around.

Surveillance video from the store Wednesday morning shows a deer bursting through the side door of Wendy's. Luckily, the store had not opened yet so no customers were inside.

However, one employee caught the action from just a few feet away, saying, "All of a sudden I saw a big buck run out from behind the dumpster.  It jumped out and ran around through the parking lot here, and the next thing I know, it got to the door and turned around looking at the store, and it jumped right through the window.

"He went straight to the window over there and tried to get out right

between those two doors... and I guess he didn't succeed, so he turned

around and jumped out the window in the green room.

All of a sudden I saw a big buck run out from behind the dumpster. It jumped out and ran around through the parking lot here, and the next thing I know, it got to the door and turned around looking at the store, and it jumped right through the window."

Much to the surprise of the managers in the back, the deer burst through this glass window in the front of the restaurant, leaving a trail of glass. One of the managers was going to come assist the deer, but the deer broke through another window to escape.

The manager said, "He went straight to the window over there and tried to get out right between those two doors, and I guess he didn't succeed, so he turned around and jumped out the window in the green room."

Police were eventually called to assess the damage, and they were amazed at what happened.

"They said it's a once in a lifetime thing. They'd seen it on t.v. before," the manager said, "but it'd never happened in real life."

It's  back to business as usual at the Wendy's, but this incident proves that you never know what to expect when dealing with a wild animal.
