On Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at
2:23 a.m., Tyler Police were called to ETMC Emergency Room to interview a
victim who reported he was robbed and assaulted with a handgun in his apartment
located at Varsity Place Apartments at 3400 Varsity, apartment 2009.
The victim, identified as Dearis
Davis, B/M, age 21, who attends Tyler Junior College, told officers that he
heard a knock at his door around 1:40 a.m. Davis opened the door and
observed three B/M's standing in his doorway. The suspects forced their way
into the apartment and held him at gunpoint demanding his cash.
The suspects who had their
faces covered with masks, struck Davis several times about his face and head
with guns that resulted in serious bodily injury. The suspects entered
into his room-mate's room and forced him and his girlfriend into the bathroom
during the robbery. The suspects stole an undisclosed amount of cash and
fled the area on foot.

information that leads to the arrest and charges filed against the suspects in
