Brandon Nutt never quits for Germantown

GLUCKSTADT, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

"I just remember thinking, that didn't just happen, you know? My season just flashed before my eyes," stated Germantown senior linebacker Brandon Nutt.

The scar you see on Germantown linebacker Brandon Nutt's left ankle is a reminder of a senior season that almost didn't happen.

During a 7-on-7 game in June, Nutt landed awkwardly after an interception attempt suffering a broken left ankle.

"I thought it was over with, you know? Going into your senior year and you break your ankle. I didn't know how long I was going to be out. The doctor said 12 to 15 weeks," said Nutt.

With an uncertain timeline for a return and a senior season in jeopardy, Nutt didn't fret.

He did was he does best.

Put in hard work and return.
