TYLER, TX (KLTV) -

Some East Texans woke up to a mess Thursday morning.

Tyler Police say they received numerous calls about vandals hitting cars and homes along Woodland Hills Drive; vandals also spray painted some businesses along Brookside Drive and Shelley Drive.

"Apparently someone with orange spray paint came through here and sprayed everything with orange spray paint," Don Martin said.

Most of the graffiti has been cleaned up, but some folks are having trouble getting the spray paint off of bricks on their mailboxes.

"Most of it is coming off the vehicles and signs, but they're having trouble getting it off the brick," Martin said.

Right now, Tyler Police say they do not know who vandalized these homes and businesses.

Anyone with information about the suspects involved in this crime is urged to contact the Tyler Police Department, at 903-531-1000, or Crimestoppers at 903-597-CUFF (903-597-2833).  Crimestoppers will pay up to $1,000 for information that leads to the arrest and charges filed against the suspects in this case or any felony case.
