Country music icon Willie Nelson visited Tyler on Wednesday evening to perform at Tyler Independent School District's Caldwell Auditorium.
One local restaurant was tapped in to give Willie Nelson a real taste of East Texas.
What was on the menu?
"Pecan smoked brisket that we serve in the store every day and then these are of course our famous pork ribs that won Best in Texas two years in a row," said Daniel Freeman, Director of Catering and Special Events at Stanley's Famous B-B-Q Pit.
"He's about to have some of the best barbeque he's ever had," Daniel added.
Stanley's agreed to serve lunch and dinner to Willie Nelson and his crew. For dinner, Stanley's served prime rib and stuffed quail.
When Freeman first received the phone call from Willie Nelson's manager about the opportunity to cater the country star there was a moment of shock before he jumped at the opportunity.
"I first pulled the phone away and collected myself and then said, 'Absolutely! Whatever you need, we will do it. We are just absolutely so proud to serve you know, Willie Nelson. This was just a dream come true for us absolutely," Freeman explained.
Freeman said the chefs did not do anything different to their most popular dishes that were served Wednesday, so it looks like East Texans have been eating like celebrities all along.
