GRAND SALINE, TX (KLTV) -

Grand Saline Police continue their search for a missing East Texas girl.

17-year-old, Charity Lajean Pulley has been missing since September 18. She was last seen at home at approximately 9:30 p.m. when her parents went to bed. When they awoke the next morning they found her gone.

Charity is 4'11" tall, weighing around 115 lbs. with long wavy brown hair and brown eyes. She has used the last name Parker.

The Grand Saline Police Department urge that Charity is not in any criminal trouble with the police.  All the police need to know is that Charity is safe and not in any danger.  A phone call, email, video or letter indicating she is safe and where she wants to be will not suffice as proof that she is.  Police need to contact Charity in person to verify they are actually speaking to Charity and verify she is safe.  She is considered an adult and will not be arrested or forced to return home against her will.  Her parents and the police just need to know that Charity is safe and okay.

The U.S. Marshals Service is assisting in the search. Chief of Police, Larry Compton says they have had many leads, but all of them have lead to dead ends, and the leads have slowed down significantly in the past few days.

If anyone has any knowledge of where Charity is please contact the Grand Saline Police Department at 903-962-3145, the Van Zandt County Sheriff's Office at 903-567-4133 and your local police department or sheriff's office.
