(RNN) - Colonel Meow might just be one of the grumpiest cats in the internet, if not the fluffiest, and has just one goal: world domination one Facebook "like" at a time.
He's well on his way with more than 60,000 "Likes" since August - and his popularity continues to grow. His aim is to take over Facebook superstar pet Boo's record, but he has a long way to go to match Boo's 5.4 million likes.
Armed with his favorite drink of scotch, or at least water disguised as scotch, Colonel Meow interacts with his "minions" through intense gazes at the camera and biting quips such as "Just because I'm laying down doesn't mean I don't have the energy to look at you with disgust."
His owner and partner in world domination, Anne Marie Avey, launched his Facebook page on Aug. 9 and has even launched a YouTube channel and Tumblr page in Colonel Meow's name. Avey, Colonel Meow and his minion Boots, the family golden retriever, live in Seattle.
Avey adopted Colonel Meow from the Himalayan and Persian Society, who ended up with the loveable yet angry kitty after he was found abandoned on the side of the road.
In an interview with Northwest Cable News, NWCN, Avey said Colonel Meow's personality prompted her to make the page.
"I would roll out of bed and look at Colonel and he would just be staring at me and I'd just start laughing," she told NWCN. "He had all these types of faces and positions he would get into and I just had to share it."
On Colonel Meow's Facebook page he describes himself as a cat who's afraid of birds, likes to eat, stare and sleep. But he also has a sensitive side.
"I'm really fluffy so I cough up a lot of hair balls. That scares me, so much so, that I will meow until someone comes and holds me."
Colonel Meow isn't the only grumpy cat making the rounds on the internet.
