VAN ZANDT COUNTY, TX (KLTV) -

An accused double murderer who fled to Tennessee was in an East Texas court for his formal arraignment hearing, where he entered a not guilty plea.

Donny Greenhow is charged with two counts of capital murder in Van Zandt County. In August, authorities say Greenhow killed Peter and LaTricia Shick at their home in Ben Wheeler. He was arrested after a week long manhunt outside of Memphis.

During the hearing, Greenhow waived his right to have the reading of the indictment in court.

The pre-trial hearing is set for December 4.
