A Northeast Texas man was sentenced to 40 years in prison on Friday for a Tyler robbery that happened almost a year ago.
Donny Ngo, 36, of Arlington, pleaded guilty to an October 2011 robbery at the Super One Foods in Tyler.
Surveillance video captured by the store showed Ngo in a gray shirt and shorts walking through the parking lot.
Ngo then reportedly got into a car, and grabbed a woman by the throat.
The woman's children were inside the car at the time.
He took her purse and ran out of the car, but police say a store employee followed him and tackled him until police could arrive.
