Confidence is booming in Bullard.
"Every time we come out, we have a packed house and it is exciting to see hit," said Bullard senior Colton Mebane.
It's a welcomed change for a traditionally struggling program.
"We have our swag back and we are doing very good right now," said Bullard senior JP Hendrix.
The Panthers have put on a Friday night show this year, crushing their way to a 4-0 record by an average of 43.5 points a game.
"Last year we had gone three rounds deep and we were on a high and feeling really good," said Mebane. "So it was really important to come back out here and continue the same thing we had been doing."
"We all felt that we had the potential to be a great team and you know, we have never done anything different, we just go into every week trying to find a way to win a ball game."
This week, they get the ultimate test. The Panthers start the 'District of Doom' with one of the state's best team, 4th ranked Kilgore. It's Bullard's chance to make a statement.
"They've been good every year and it gives us a chance to show where we're at," said Hendrix.
It gives them a chance to prove the Panthers swag is here to stay.
