Suspects in Walmart gun theft abandon car in northwest Tyler yard

TYLER, TX (KLTV) -

In the early hours of Monday, October 1, Walmart on Highway 64W in Tyler was burglarized and four assault rifles from the store's gun case were stolen.

Walmart surveillance video showed  a male and female breaking into the store and taking the weapons.  Officers were able to recover the weapons, but the individuals responsible for stealing them were not apprehended at that time.

Suspects were identified as Jamie Lee Miller and Jeremy Lee Wilson, and  warrants for theft of a firearm were issued for each of the two.

On Wednesday, October 3, a vehicle was recovered by Tyler police believed to be involved in the theft of guns from a Tyler Walmart. The vehicle was left at a residence northwest of Tyler Pipe, and the homeowner claims that someone left the vehicle there, but that they do not know to whom it belongs.

The suspects are still on the run, and police are requesting the public's help in locating them.
