Panola Arrests For Drug And Explosives Charges

A husband and wife in Panola county are in jail after a drug bust at their home and the discovery of explosives. The raid happened Friday as a tip led drug agents to a home on county road 3022 just north of Carthage. Police say chemicals used to make Meth-amphetamine were found as well as pipe bombs and other explosives, along with half a dozen rifles with silencers.

35 year old James Cheshire and 40 year old Rebecca Cheshire were taken into custody and charged with manufacturing a controlled substance, possession of explosives and possession of fire arms. James Cheshire's bond is set at 1-point-3 million dollars while Rebecca is being held on 500-thousand dollars. Federal charges are pending.
