LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) -

During a traffic stop, Lufkin Police officers arrested a 25-year-old man Monday for allegedly having crack cocaine. When they ran his driver's license, they also found two warrants, including one for delivery of a controlled substance.

The delivery of a controlled substance charge stems from an incident in which  Roberts allegedly sold crack cocaine to a confidential informant within a drug free zone earlier this year.

Milton Dale Roberts, 25, of Lufkin, is still being held in the Angelina County Jail on charges of failure to appear for evading arrest or detention, manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance under one gram (a third-degree) felony, and possession of a controlled substance under one gram. While no bond has been set for the drug-related charges, the bond for the FTA charge was set at $5,000.

According to the arrest affidavit, the criminal informant allegedly used a predetermined amount of cash to purchase an "off white rock like substance" from Roberts at a location within Lufkin's city limits. The substance, which weighed approximately .5 gram, field tested positive for the presence of cocaine. Then investigators were able to identify Roberts from the criminal informant's video.
