Two earthquakes struck the Dallas/Fort-Worth area late Saturday night.
According to the USGS (United States Geological Survey) the first quake happened around 11:05pm 2 miles north of Irving, this is just northwest of Dallas. The epicenter was located about 2
miles beneath the earths surface. The quake came in a 3.4 on the Richter scale,
which is categorized as a minor quake.
The second quake hit four minutes later at 11:09pm 4 miles south-southeast or Irving. It was rated 3.1 on the Richter scale. The epicenter was located about 3 miles beneath the earth's surface.
At this point no damage has been reported and some residents are claiming to
have felt nothing, while others say they felt it.
