Mom turns own son in after seeing liquor store surveillance tape

Good afternoon, everyone! We hope your Tuesday is going well.

Here's a sampling of what we're working on today in the newsroom:

On East Texas News at 4, we'll tell you about a mother who saw her son on a liquor store surveillance video committing burglary. The tape was released by police. We'll show you the story this afternoon.

Also at 4, in our "Dersanappfurdat" segment, our Jamey Boyum will show you an app that will light up your world! Don't miss that, coming up.

New at 4:30, we'll tell you about a school that is getting a makeover, as people get together to help rebuild after a tornado wiped out the entire gymnasium. A retailer came to the rescue! We'll show you which retailer as well as the results, coming up at 4:30.

A veterinarian tell us at 4:30 about "the worst case of (animal) neglect she's ever seen" and what the after-effects of the raid on this home were.

And new at 5, we will talk about last night's sports fiasco: replacement refs. Will this end the NFL referee lockout?

Also at 5, Dr. Ed Dominguez will tell us about how your own birth could affect or predict your pregnancy. If you were delivered pre-term, what might that mean for your own children? Dr. Ed will fill us in coming up.

And at 6, we'll tell you about the trial which began today for the two East Texas grandparents who are accused of scalding their two-year-old granddaughter's feet in a bathtub. They were arrested back in March. More on that coming up at 6, along with the latest weather updates and sports stories, on KLTV news!

We'll see you soon,
