MINEOLA, TX (KLTV) -

A sanitation truck ended up on its side trying to avoid a red light runner in Mineola, Tuesday morning.

According to KMOO, A Hawley Sanitation truck carrying a dumpster rolled over around 9 a.m. after avoiding an SUV that ran a red light.

The truck, driven by Anthony Voyles of Lindale was turning east on Loop 564 from the southbound lanes of Highway 37, when it swerved to miss a Yukon driven by Molly Newlan, who was traveling east on the Loop.

The cars did not collide, but the truck lost its load onto the roadway. Newlan was sited by Mineola Police for running the light.

TxDot is on the scene working on cleaning up the mess. Voyles suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene.
