Theft suspect flees, found hiding in drainage pipe

LONGVIEW, TX (KLTV) -

A Longview man is jailed on theft and evading charges after leading police on a chase that ended in a drain pipe.

Police say 27-year-old John Ahalt stole around $200 worth of merchandise from a Radio Shack on Gilmer Road, then fled on foot.

Ahalt was caught in a nearby water drainage pipe. He is charges with theft and evading arrest.
