2 teachers, mom and child taken to hospital after lightning strike

JACKSONVILLE, TX (KLTV) -

Four people were taken to the hospital for evaluation, after a lightning strike near Fred Douglass Elementary School in Jacksonville.

It happened Thursday afternoon, around 3:15, as teachers were helping students into their rides after school.

Two of the people taken to the hospital were teachers. The other two were a mom and her five year old.

Now, they were not directly struck by the lightning, but they said they did feel a tingle.
