ETX man pleads guilty to bank robbery

CASS COUNTY, TX (KLTV) -

An East Texas man pled guilty in federal court on Tuesday to robbing a bank.

Robin Marion Allen, 52, of Queen City, pled guilty to the June robbery of a Wells Fargo in Atlanta. Atlanta is in Cass County.

According to information presented in court, Allen drove a borrowed car to the Wells Fargo Bank on E. Main Street, approached a bank teller with a hand-written note with instructions to fill a black bag with cash.

The teller placed $1,944 in cash in the bag and handed it to Allen.

Allen faces up to 20 years in prison. A sentencing date has not yet been set.
