NACOGDOCHES COUNTY, TX (KTRE) -

Deputies with the Nacogdoches County Sheriff's Office have arrested a Nacogdoches man accused of pulling a knife on an officer Sunday evening on County Road 406.

Kevin Lee Brittain, 37, is charged with first-degree aggravated assault against a public servant, misdemeanor A criminal trespass and misdemeanor A resisting arrest.

According to the arrest report, deputies responded to the 2000 block of County Road 411, in reference to a disturbance. The woman said her ex-boyfriend was vandalizing her house and would not leave.

When the first deputy arrived, he ordered Brittain to step away from the woman. According to the report, Brittain pulled out a knife to use on the deputy.

The deputy managed to talk Brittain into putting down the knife, but Brittain then attacked the deputy with his fists, according to the report.

A second deputy arrived and a third person helped apprehend Brittain.

The first deputy was sent to the hospital with a separated shoulder.
