More than 200 puppies rescued from a local puppy mill by the SPCA a few weeks ago are up for adoption. The dogs were taken from Mary Smith, who owned Fuzzcrest Farms in Van Zandt County. She kept the puppies in cramped, filthy cages, stacked on top of one another. After being spayed, neutered, and vaccinated, the dogs are now ready to be adopted.
To adopt one of the puppies visit the SPCA's downtown Dallas location at 170 Pittsburg Avenue. Adoptions can be made from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. through Saturday. The adoption fee is 185 dollars.
