CHEROKEE COUNTY, TX (KLTV) -
Early Tuesday morning at approximately 8:30, a two car fatal crash happened a little south of Jacksonville.
Wayne Clinton Davis, 28, of Flint was driving south on State Highway 204 in a 2012 Chrysler 200, when Tyler Glenn Sherwood, 24, of Jacksonville was driving north on State Highway 204 in a 1995 Nissan pickup truck. Sherwood was driving in the south bound lane and struck Davis.
Davis, was pronounced dead on the scene at 9:12 a.m., by Cherokee County JP Precinct Judge Brenda Dominy. The body was taken to Autry Funeral Home in Jacksonville. Sherwood, was wearing his seatbelt at the time, and is listed in stable condition with blunt force trauma.
