How Your Lottery Ticket Purchase is Broken Down

Lots of money up for grabs in Wednesday's Lotto Texas Jackpot. It's a record $120 million dollars. Ticket sales are soaring and that means millions of dollars in circulation.
Since 1992, $11 billion has been generated by the lottery.
For each dollar used to purchase a ticket, here's the break down:
30 cents goes to revenue to the state of Texas, including the Foundation School Fund.
58 cents goes to lottery prizes.
7 cents goes to administration.
The remaining 5 cents goes to lottery retailers.
You can check out the winning numbers Wednesday night on KLTV 7 News at 10.
