One of the highlights of this years Texas Country Music Hall of Fame celebration was the performance of Taylor Heard, winner of the "John Ritter Tribute Showcase." Only seventeen, this young contest winner held her own among the legends of country music.

To folks back in her hometown of Omaha, Texas, Taylor's success was no surprise. She's been entertaining them since she was in kindergarten. Taylor writes most of her songs and says she loves song writing as much as she loves singing. Her song ideas come from watching people and their stories, and the subjects range from cowboys and love, to country and "muddin".

Taylor Heard describes herself as "a little country girl from Omaha, Texas with a dream." It's a dream that seems to be coming true.
