Posted: Updated:

A convenience store clerk was forced into the store's cooler during an early morning robbery in Smith County.

Around 3:30 am, three or four males, three black and one either white or Hispanic, went into the Food Fast on Highway 64 E. and pointed a handgun at the clerk, forcing clerk into the cooler area and tying him up with a belt.

When the milk delivery man showed up to make a delivery the clerk was forced to go out front. During the milk delivery,  the suspects ran out of the cooler, past the milk man and towards the Oil Palace. They took an undetermined amount of money and cigarettes.

During the robbery the clerk's hand was injured when one of the robbers shoved the clerk to the floor.
