Local Man Killed Outside Tyler Nightclub

One man is dead another left injured following a shooting at a Tyler nightclub early Sunday.

The shooting happened around 1 a.m. At "Club Alize". The club is located at 4300 Watson Rd., just south of Loop 323.

It was just after closing Sunday morning when witnesses heard gunshots from "Club Alize".

"I was in the building and a customer came in and got me to come out and said 'they're shooting again out here'," said Charles McLean, who is co-owner of Teaser's Gentlemen's Club just down the road. "I went out and I heard 7,8, 10 shots"

Police say the shots he heard came from a .22 caliber handgun. At least one of the bullets striking 17-year-old Felix Nwanonyiri. Nwanonyiri would later die at the hospital.

Authorities say the shooting happened after an altercation inside the club spilled out into the parking lot.  After interviewing witnesses police arrested 19-year-old Darwin Natrell Hale.  Hale is in the Smith County Jail, charged with murder.

21-year-old Nakeldrick Erskine was also injured in the shooting. He was listed in good condition Sunday night at East Texas Medical Center in Tyler. Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call Tyler Police or Crime Stoppers at 903-597-CUFF.
