Local Store Gives $30,000

They don't even open the doors until Wednesday, but one Tyler store is already doing good for the community.

The new Walmart Supercenter off Loop 323 and Hwy 64 in Tyler opened it's wallets Saturday, donating nearly $31,000 dollars to some local groups, like the Tyler Fire and Police Departments, the Children's Advocacy Center and the Salvation Army.  The donations are part of a program to support community groups. Walmart stores all over the country participated.
