Coming up on Good Morning East Texas...
This morning we await the full autopsy results in the tragic death of a Smith County toddler. We'll give you all the facts that we know this morning and tell you what the next steps are in this investigation.
And, we'll meet the million dollar East Texan himself and tell you how his life was forever changed this week...and, how he gives a whole new meaning to the phrase "if you have an itch, you better scratch it."
Plus, it's that time of year again. By next week many of your children will be back in school, and parents have to purchase those essential school supplies now. For some East Texas families with multiple children in school, that supply list can put a burden on the budget. Good Morning East Texas' Bethany Moore will be live in the studio to tell us about a group that's trying to ease that burden.
What's the weather look like for the weekend? Brett Collar has your forecast...
we will see a few spotty showers work their way into East Texas as that
southeasterly flow we've had over the past couple of days continues to usher
moist air into East Texas. We are not expecting anything severe, but can't
rule out the possibility of an isolated severe storm. The best chances to see
these showers will be our southern and eastern counties. Daytime highs today
will top out in the upper 80s to lower 90s. A
few of these showers may linger into the evening hours, but should die off as
we head overnight. Lows will drop into the lower 70s tonight. A
few more showers are expected on your Saturday. Highs will once again top out
in the upper 80s to lower 90s. Check out the 7 day forecast here.
Happy Friday, East Texas!
