One East Texas man is a million dollars richer after scratching off the million dollar lottery ticket.

Bernardo Orozco, 70, usually buys his lottery tickets throughout the week, but he changed up his routine Sunday afternoon.

"What happened was, we had just gotten home from church and from the house, I decided to stop by here. When I got here I thought, you know what? I'm going to buy two tickets," said Orozco.

Changing up his routine didn't turn out to be too bad.
Orozco says he bought two $2 tickets of the Weekly Grand scratch-off game from Panaderia De Leon.

"It was just like other times, I would sit over there and start scratching the tickets," said Orozco.

This time was far different than any other time.  Orozco was about to become a millionaire.

"I bought the first one and nothing. I bought the second one and that was the winning ticket," said Orozco.

"I was sitting right there and I told one of the ladies that works here, "Look I won." She said, "Wow you are a lucky man," and I said, "No this is just a blessing from God."

Orozco plans to donate some of the winnings to his church.
He also wants to buy land, and a home for his wife, three children and seven grandchildren.

Orozco visited Austin on Tuesday to claim the prize of $1.04 million in the Weekly Grand scratch-off game, which has now been discontinued after all the top prizes have been claimed.

Orozco will receive $1,000 per week for the next 20 years.
