WEB EX: Medical Spa: A New Approach to Healthcare

D'IBERVILLE, MS (WLOX) - A new concept in healthcare has found a home in D'Iberville. It's a unique approach to taking care of inner and outer health. Vitality Medical Clinic and Spa offers everything from physicals and vaccines to skin care and salon services.

Wellness from the inside out for every age is the concept behind the new clinic. Radiologist Dr. Jason Crowder opened Vitality, putting family health care and cosmetic and spa services all under one roof.

"It offers a great opportunity to promote health and wellness; not just physical but mental health; whole body wellness."

In essence, one side of the clinic offers health care for adults and children; treating everything from earaches and sore throats to offering physicals and annual checkups. The other side focuses on aesthetics, everything from pedicures and manicures to massage therapy, facials, and laser and botox treatments. Crowder says the concept follows a nationwide trend.

"In a lot of larger cities, medical spa or med spa trend is very popular."

Medical Aesthetician Courtney Anderson is passionate about her work, helping people with a wide range of anti-aging and skin care treatments at the clinic.

"I'm able to work with lasers and other medical equipment, as well as treat people who want a wonderful facial," Anderson said.

Dr. Crowder hopes that combining these services in one location will encourage people to take better care of themselves.

"It promotes women to get their annual checkups and as a reward they can get their manicure, or pedicure all in one location."  It's all about "being healthy from the inside out at any age."

Vitality Medical Clinic and Spa has an open house to mark their grand opening Thursday, August 23, from 4-7pm. The clinic is located in the Promenade shopping area of D'Iberville.
