Mississippi Braves General Manager Steve DeSalvo announced Tuesday the Atlanta Braves will play a game in Pearl next year.
The exhibition game is scheduled for March 30 at Trustmark Park. The Atlanta Braves will play an all-star team made up of minor league players from the Atlanta organization.
"This will be a great opportunity. We know many of the people here, although some of them do go to Atlanta and get to go to a big league game, there's probably many that have never seen a big league game and may never get to see a big league game. This may be their only opportunity to see the Atlanta Braves play," stated DeSalvo.
DeSalvo said he believes this is the first time the Atlanta Braves have ever played in Mississippi.
According to the MBraves tickets for the game are not on sale yet and tickets will go on sale to season ticket holders first.
