TJC Nets National Honor

Former Lindale High School and Tyler Junior College tennis star Jeremy Hubbard has been named male scholar athlete of the year by the National Alliance of Two-Year College Athletic Administrators.  While at TJC, Hubbard has maintained a perfect 4.0 grade point average, has led his team to two national junior college division two tennis championships, and has been an NJCAA All-American both years. He will be attending the University of Texas next year, and will be a member of their tennis team as well.

    The UT-Tyler Student Athlete Advisory Committee hosted its second annual special Olympics with swoop on Monday night. Numerous Patriot athletes took time out of their normal practice and school routine to participate in the event and give kids a night of fun they normally don't experience.
