JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -
Jackson State officials showed their appreciation on Wednesday to Tigers track star and London Olympic runner Anaso Jobodwana.
Jobodwana placed eighth in the 200-meter finals running for his home country of South Africa.
More than 100 students, faculty and alumni held a pep rally to celebrate Jobodwana's return to JSU. He is a sophomore at Jackson State.
Jobodwana says running against 200-meter gold medalist Usain Bolt was a dream come true.
"He is one of the guys that I look up to. When I started, I had pictures of him for motivation. For me to actually be in the presence of him was actually like a good feeling," Jobodwana said.
