Case of West Nile Fever reported in ETX

VAN ZANDT COUNTY, TX (KLTV) -

A new case of the West Nile Fever has been reported in East Texas.

According to the Texas DPS Division of Emergency Management, there is a new case of the fever in Van Zandt County.

West Nile Fever is a different, milder, form of West Nile Virus.     

Dallas officials announced Tuesday that they will begin aerial spraying of insecticides--by Thursday of this week--to battle the virus.

This will be the first aerial spraying of insecticides in the Dallas area since the 1960s.
