ETX interior designer's talent has taken her to tv and now...Ghana

Good afternoon, everyone! Hope you're getting some of the lovely rain showers we've seen in downtown Tyler today.

Here's a sampling of what we're working on for you in the KLTV newsroom this afternoon:

A native East Texan has spent the last several years dedicating her time to humanitarian design projects. You may have seen some of her work on Extreme Makeover Home Edition, including the Mineola-Carr project a few years ago. Tonight, her family and friends who still live in our area, are working to help Kim Lewis with her next big humanitarian project, called "Go Team Ghana!" but they are going to need some extra help. KLTV's Shaley Sanders will show you at 5 how you can get involved!

Authorities are investigating the death of a teenage boy after he was hit by a truck while riding his bicycle Tuesday night. They say that it appears the boy pulled out in front of the truck, and the driver may not have seen him. More on that at 5 p.m.

A tragic accident in the Hallsville area Tuesday afternoon has left one teenager dead, and two in the hospital in critical condition. Today DPS identified the young victims; we'll share their story at 6.

Steven Crawford
His courage in the waning moments of his life inspired all who knew him. We told you about Steven Crawford Sunday while he was holding a fundraiser for his family. Today, Steven died at Beacon Hospice. Family members tell KLTV's Bob Hallmark Steven personified dignity, right up to the end. We'll tell you more at 6.

And KLTV Chief Meteorologist Mark Scirto will tell you if your area is likely to get any rain tonight, or anytime in the next few days! Join him for that at 5 and 6.

We'll see you soon!
