Details from press conference on Van Zandt Co. double homicide

VAN ZANDT COUNTY, TX (KLTV) -

This morning we are learning more about an East Texas capital murder fugitive.

32-year-old Donny Greenhow is wanted in connection to a double murder and car theft in Van Zandt County.

Authorities now say these latest crimes appear to be a part of Greenhows month long crime spree.

The investigation began Friday when a family member discovered the bodies of 74-year-old Peter Schick and his wife 55-year-old Latricia Schick in their home at the intersection of County Roads 4812 and 4813, just northwest of Chandler. Authorities say they appear to have been shot to death. Latricia's body was discovered in the kitchen and Peter's found in the bedroom.

It does not appear that a struggle took place in the home and that Greenhow new the victims and that he usually steals from people he knows.

A press conference with new information about the suspect just wrapped up at the Van Zandt County Sheriff's office.

At this point, they still have not determined a motive, but they have determined that Greenhow knew the victims.
