Bullard baseball duo named to National All-Star Teams

BULLARD, TEXAS - A pair of Bullard baseball players have been named to national all-star teams and will compete with some of the best young baseball players in the country.

Incoming Junior, Abe Young has been selected to the New Balance Scout Baseball Team (18U) for the 2012 fall season.

Young was one of twenty high school juniors and seniors selected throughout the country to represent New Balance. 

Young will compete in five nationally competitive baseball tournaments in Arizona at the Dodgers, White Sox, Mariners and Padres Spring Training Complexes and in Florida at the Yankees Spring Training Complex, before two hundred and fifty college scouts and the entire MLB Bureau.   

Young was selected to play third base and right field for the New Balance Scout Team.

Along with Young, incoming senior, Jesse Duplechin has been selected to the Team Under Armour baseball team with an invitation to compete in the Pirate City World Series in Bradenton, Florida this August. 

Pirate City is the spring training home to the Pittsburg Pirates. 

While there, Duplechin  will have the opportunity to play with and against some of the best high school baseball players in the country and be coached and trained by their staff, which includes professional baseball players, pro scouts, and former college coaches.

Duplechin plays short-stop.

Helmets that advertise lowering the impact of hits, and possibly reduce the amount of concussions, come with a hefty price-tag.
