A Mississippi man will spend the rest of his life in prison, after being caught with $500,000 in cocaine.
A Smith County jury today sentenced 52-year-old Arthur Gilbert to life in prison for possession of a controlled substance. Gilbert was caught last September trying to carry 600 grams of crack cocaine through Smith County.
He was originally given just 20 years for the crime, but after opting for a jury, received the life sentence. He'll be eligible for parole in 15 years.
