Tuesday was a big day for voters in East Texas. We'll give you a morning election breakdown on the winners and losers from some of the biggest local and state races.

And, it is confirmed. Alcohol sales will be on the ballot for Smith County, but as expected, the opposition isn't backing down. We'll give you the latest on the booze battle.

Plus, after days of mourning the mass shooting, Coloradans are celebrating the triumphs of the 17-year-old swimmer who attends Aurora's Regis Jesuit High School and lives in the nearby Denver suburb of Centennial. Another hot day is on tap for us once again as that upper level high still remains in command over the south central U.S. Daytime highs today will top out in the lower 100s once again, with a few upper 90s in deep East Texas. Overnight, mostly clear skies are expected with lows dropping into the middle to upper 70s. Your Thursday features more of the same from today. Mostly sunny and hot with highs around 100.
