Oxnard, CA (KLTV) - Jerry Jones is not afraid to speak his mind.
At training camp, he fired off a bit of trash talk towards NFC East rival, the NY Giants.
"Now I know we're standing here today, but we want you to come to that stadium and watch us beat the New York Giants' [expletive] okay?!" said Jones, as he welcomed fans on Monday.
On Tuesday, that message had become national news.
"That's what he said? I like it!" said cornerback Brandon Carr." I'm right with him."
"What's he supposed to say? He's got a lot of pride in this team," said linebacker Victor Butler. "I'm behind him one-hundred percent."
The reality is...talk is cheap.
The Giants ended the Cowboys' season in 2011, something Jerry and his players simply cannot forget.
"I mean if we could've pulled out that last game out there, we could've been representing the NFC in the Super Bowl," said safety Barry Church. "But since we didn't, that weighs on us hard and we're looking forward to turning it around in this season coming up."
The Cowboys wrap up the easy part of training camp on Tuesday.
The first practice in pads is on Wednesday.
